RDI Renewables Ltd is another family owned business based in Caithness. Run by Ryan Pollard and his wife Siobhan. RDI Renewables Ltd are the one stop shop for accredited energy saving renewable systems in the Scottish Highlands. They provide specialist services to country estate, commercial and domestic premises with solutions to cover large, multiple and individual properties.

As MCS accredited installers RDI can provide MCS certified systems that attract Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments. They provide design, installation and accreditation services for air source heat pumps, solar thermal, solar PV, biomass, stoves, gas and oil systems. They also provide mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) systems.

RDI rightly pride themselves on the quality of the systems they deliver, the workmanship of their installation engineers and the support thereafter. RDI can provide references on request. RDI are accredited by the following organisations: MCS, HETAS, Gas Safe and OFTEC. For further piece of mind RDI are also members of the Home Insulation & Energy Systems Quality Contractors Scheme which is a Trading Standards Approved Code.

As building regulations require homes to be better insulated and more airtight, the need to integrate heating and ventilation systems into the kit home design becomes more of an imperative. Thermohaus work closely with RDI to ensure we achieve the right balance. According to a market study we spend, on average, over 90% of our lives indoors. Creating and maintaining a comfortable and healthy environment inside the home is, therefore, far more important than whatever is going on outside! Thermohaus will specify a combination of air-to-air heat pump, solar PV and MVHR technologies (all of which are relatively low cost and low maintenance), working in harmony, to achieve the perfect heating and ventilation system for each individual home design.
